The weather has claimed another PRO 14 fixture after Edinburgh announced the postponement of their fixture against Munster.

Munster were due to travel from Shannon Airport this morning but were grounded when Aer Lingus cancelled all outgoing flights

The severe weather currently being experienced in the UK and Ireland combined to the further inclement conditions forecast for tomorrow night, means that those travelling to Murrayfield would likely be exposed to hazardous conditions which raises welfare concerns,” said a statement from the Pro14.

The exact kick-off time and date on the weekend of March 16-17-18 will be announced in the coming days.

The IRFU have also announced that "due to the prevailing weather conditions and alerts throughout the country all Ulster Bank League fixtures planned for this weekend have been postponed".

The postponements followed Wednesday's news that Glasgow's trip to Belfast on Friday to face Ulster had also been pushed back until the weekend of April 20-22.

Cardiff Blues have also called off Friday's Guinness PRO14 match against Benetton Rugby.
