Kilcoyne on the double as Munster run riot
Munster 33 Ospreys 0
Dave Kilcoyne scored in each half as Munster earned a third win in a row against a weakened Ospreys at Musgrave Park. Darren Sweetnam, Ronan O'Mahony and Robin Copeland also crossed for the home side, who devoured their visitors and wrapped up the bonus point 10 minutes from time.
Captain Peter O'Mahony put in another sterling display to show he will be ready for Ireland duty, while Tyler Bleyendaal again ran the show.
Without 12 of their squad due to international duties, Ospreys were forced to name five front-row forwards on the bench, but Munster were ruthless as they never gave their guests a sniff in Cork.
The opening try came on nine minutes when Niall Scannell managed to gather an overthrown lineout on the Ospreys 22. Ronan O'Mahony came close in the right corner, but a couple of phases later Kilcoyne burrowed through a hole carved by Andrew Conway's smart rucking.
Bleyendaal's conversion from the right was immaculate - and five minutes later his second conversion from the touchline was even better.
Again the Ospreys lineout malfunctioned, and after Ronan O'Mahony was stopped just short again, quick ball and a sharp pass from Duncan Williams sent Sweetnam over in the corner.
Munster were good value for that 14-0 lead at half-time, but Ospreys had a couple of chances to get on the scoreboard in the first ten minutes of the second half, but yet again their lineout faltered, and then Tommy O'Donnell's crunching tackle in defence denied Eli Walker.
And 14 minutes into the half, Munster made sure of the win when Ronan O'Mahony got the try his bright play deserved, smartly stealing a horrendous pass from Josh Matavesi to canter in.
Bleyendaal's conversion dropped to the right - his unlucky 13th attempt after 12 straight successes - but it didn't matter.
Kilcoyne then crashed over from close range for his second to clinch a deserved five-point haul, and Copeland added a late fifth.
