Coulson relishing Connacht challenge
Denis Coulson is relishing a fresh start at Connacht after his move to the Westerners was finally confirmed.
The 23-year-old joins from Grenoble where he spent the last three years working under Bernard Jackman.
Coulson, a loosehead prop, has previously played for the Ireland U-20s, and has returned home with a view to forcing his way into Joe Schmidt's plans.
The former St Michael's College student had previously agreed to stay with Grenoble until 2019 but those plans changed when the club were relegated to the Pro D2 and Connacht tempted him back to these shores.
"I am hugely excited to be returning to play in Ireland with Connacht," Coulson said.
"There is a fantastic atmosphere in the Sportsground and I can't wait to play my first game there.
"With the new season kicking off on the 2nd of September I will be hoping to integrate into the squad as quickly as possible".
Coulson will provide competition for Denis Buckley who has cemented himself as first-choice loosehead.
