Brewer loses head in blame game
The 'B' word figured prominently in Irish rugby ahead of last Saturday's big showdown. But it was nothing compared to former Leinster forwards coach Mike Brewer's 'blame' outburst in the immediate aftermath of his team Sale's defeat by Wasps the night before.
"We did our best to lose the game throughout the second half and we achieved what we set out to do," raged Brewer. "Dave Walder (Wasps out-half) stuck to their plan for 80 minutes and in the end it produced the goods. Charlie (Hodgson) didn't manage the game when he should have. He kicked all the penalties but on certain occasions he didn't manage the game."
How not to handle anger but how to lose the dressing-room and alienate your star out-half in one easy lesson.
