Foley sizzles for Christians to send champions crashing out

CBC earned a deserved win over holders PBC in the quarter-final.

This was an excellent performance by the winners and with scrum-half Ryan Foley turning in a man-of-the-match performance, the holders had to play second fiddle for long periods.

Foley opened the scoring after five minutes with a penalty and CBC increased their lead in the 18th minute, Rory Burke touching down to make it 8-0.

Foley and Pres' out-half Tommy Duggan exchanged penalties and before the stroke of half-time, Chris McAuliffe went in for a Christians try.

Foley extended his side's lead with a penalty two minutes after the break and mid-way through the half, Michael Murphy touched down for Pres' and Duggan converted.

Christians finished the stronger and tries by Foley and McAuliffe and a conversion by Foley ensured victory.
