FORMER Ireland international Bob Casey will retire from rugby at the end of the season.
A graduate of the Blackrock College 'dream team' of 1996, the second-row has played for Leinster and London Irish 233 times, and captained the Exiles from 2007 to 2011.
Casey (33) won seven caps for Ireland, but struggled to gain international recognition with Paul O'Connell, Donncha O'Callaghan, Malcolm O'Kelly and his best friend Leo Cullen ahead of him in the pecking order.
He will take up a management role with club sponsors Powerday.
"I've thoroughly enjoyed my rugby career and have lots of great memories," Casey said. "I've been fortunate to play with many talented players and gifted coaches and thank them and the medical staff that have looked after me so well."
