Eagles can't reign on Newport's Parade
Bernard Fineran reckons Connacht's Matt Healy would have been useful for Giovanni Trapattoni after showing neat footballing skills to score his side's sole try.
Wing Healy displayed nice footwork as he booted the ball forward three times to put the Eagles ahead for the first time, on the hour mark.
But Newport stormed back in this keenly contested Pool 5 tie as Will Richards added to Craig Attwell's first-half try to score in the final minute at Rodney Parade.
"It's disappointing to lose such a close match," Connacht boss Fineran said. "But Matt did well to score. He hacked on three times before he put the ball down."
Nigel Carolan's outfit started well and Tadhg Leader scored two first-half penalties. Leader added a third successful kick in the second period, but Newport claimed that late winner.
