D'Arcy scoops double
Clontarf centre Matt D'Arcy was deservedly crowned Ulster Bank Player of the Year for Division 1A at last night's third annual awards ceremony at the Aviva Stadium.
D'Arcy was also the division's top try-scorer with Old Belvedere's scoring machine Josh Glynn the top points scorer.
Joe Schmidt was on hand to present the awards in 11 different categories across all four divisions of the league.
Cian Kelleher's reputation continues to grow as the Lansdowne player picked up the Rising Star of the Year Award, while John Staunton was rewarded for guiding Young Munster to the semi-final with the Coach of the Year title.
Division 1B champions Galwegians' John Cleary was named Player of the Year.
Ian Cassidy (Old Wesley) and Neil Faloon (Armagh RFC) won similar awards for their respected divisions.
Ulster Bank Team of the Year went to Old Wesley.
