Cronin leads pride of AIL on English raid

DOLPHIN scrum-half Sam Cronin will lead out the Ireland club international team when they take on England Counties in Stourbridge tomorrow night (7.30).

He partners club colleague Barry Keeshan at half-back, with two other Dolphin men -- centre Eric Moloney and openside Barry O'Mahony -- named by coach David O'Mahony.

Cork Constitution have three players in the team: Moloney's centre partner Evan Ryan, loose-head prop Martin Gatley and No 8 Frank Cogan, with three from Shannon also: hooker Michael Essex, second-row Fergal Walsh and pacy winger, and Limerick footballer, Stephen Kelly.

Ballymena's Simon Shawe represents Ulster with Galwegians right-wing John Cleary the sole Connacht player. The squad is picked from non-professional AIL players. The teams have met twice before; Ireland winning 20-17 in 2007 and last year's tie ending 13-13.
