Video: Watch the moment Connacht players end up in standoff over Ireland star's stolen laptop Newsdesk Newsdesk

Gardaí were called to the scene after members of the Connacht rugby team - including Pro12 Player of the Year Bundee Aki - showed up at a house in Galway seeking the return of a laptop stolen from Ireland star Robbie Henshaw.

Henshaw posted a picture on Instagram earlier this month of a shattered car window, accompanied by the caption:

“Not the best way to start my Monday. To whoever stole my bag, I hope you find my economics notes useful #happy reading. I’m getting my mate @Bundeeaki –to investigate and knock your block off.”

Henshaw's centre partner Bundee Aki followed that up with a tweet saying 'Whoever broke into @henshawrob's car, good luck'.

According to the Sunday World, members of the Connacht team then used the 'Find My Laptop' app to track the stolen computer to a house in the Sli Burca estate in Galway on Tuesday of last week, which was occupied by the McDonagh family.

A young man living at the house told the players he wasn't aware the laptop was stolen when he purchased it and he would return it to Henshaw.

In a video obtained by the Sunday World, a confrontation is seen to escalate between the rugby players and other people outside the house, after which the guards reportedly arrived and the players left.
