Kieran Marmion, Bundee Aki and Ultan Dillane are probably going to be missing over the next few weeks with Ireland, but that means opportunity knocks for other players across the Connacht squad, writes Noel Mannion.

This is definitely a chance for Tom Farrell to step up and start nailing down his spot during the window. He is a big lad and was well able to throw himself about against Munster.

He looks like a good player and probably benefits well when he is playing alongside Aki. But now let's see how he gets on alongside another more inexperienced player in the next few weeks, whoever that may be.

Pita Ahki is coming in and he will be put in the same boat as Bundee from the off. He will have huge boots to fill and we will wait and see do some of these guys fill in quickly or does it take a bit of time to adjust.

It might not be the best time coming to Galway in this weather. But they just want game-time and he will get that with Connacht, especially with Bundee away on international duty.

You wouldn't know what might happen if he gets the minutes on the pitch, and Connacht will have to step Bundee down going forward with his international status.

It's great for Connacht that they have more options now, but the next few games will be a real test for all of them.
