So there's two Connacht players in Joe Schmidt's World Cup squad. Some people might say they deserved more but you need to realise where Connacht have come from.
When the World Cup came around in 2011, not one Connacht player was picked to travel to New Zealand and the fact that Kieran Marmion was very close to a call-up is another testament to the state of Connacht Rugby.
It surprised me that Schmidt chose to bring just two scrum-halves with Ian Madigan set to act as cover, but realistically if there was a third to go Marmion was next in line.
Isaac Boss is another top-class operator with piles of experience but Marmion is in the form of his life and could feel aggrieved not to have got the nod.
But Connacht need to celebrate the two that will travel - Robbie Henshaw (right) and Nathan White are certainly not there just to make up the numbers either.
Henshaw was shoo-in after a sensational Six Nations, while White will push Mike Ross all the way for a starting spot. The World Cup is just around the corner now and with the squad picked I hope the lads can do us proud.
