Corinthians search for win as Buccs look for some fizz
Corinthians can't buy a win at the moment in the Ulster Bank League Division 1B.
They moved off the bottom of the table last weekend, but a losing bonus point was all they could muster in their 15-12 defeat away to Shannon.
It was their ninth loss of the season and they were lucky other results went their way in round 13.
But they will need more than luck at Corinthian Park on February 20 when Buccaneers will come in search of their first Connacht derby success in the league this season.
Buccs lost 12-6 to a strong Galwegians side at Crowley Park last weekend. Rory Parata and Garry O'Brien got the tries for the victors in a tense encounter.
Buccaneers are still fifth in the league standings but with six wins and the same amount of defeats they need to get some consistency if they are to have any chance of making a late push for promotion.
Meanwhile, Galwegians are still flying high at the top, but the chasing pack has closed considerably and with a dangerous Garryowen in second and the in-form Trinity just three points back they need to keep on their toes.
They have two weeks to prepare for one of the toughest fixtures in the calendar - away to Ballymena at Eaton Park.
There is a great rivalry - and friendship - between these two sides and the last time they met it was 23-22 to the northerners in Galway in November, and another classic can be expected this time.
