Ultan Dillane and Finlay Bealham have an opportunity to put their World Cup disappointment behind them after they were included in Connacht's 30-man squad for a pre-season camp in Franced.

Andy Friend has taken his panel to Oyonnax where they will take on the local ProD2 side tomorrow night.

The Australian coach has included new signings Rory Burke and John Porch in his panel, while giving Dillane and Bealham an outlet to work out their frustration at missing out on Joe Schmidt's squad.

Despite being involved in the Six Nations, Kerry second-row Dillane was omitted before the meeting with Italy while Dillane was cut yesterday having not been included in the match-day 23 for that game.

Ulster's John Cooney was also left out of the Irish squad who are currently in Portugal for a warm-weather camp and he is already refocusing on Ulster's campaign as he thanked fans for their support on social media.

Connacht squad: Forwards: Finlay Bealham, Paul Boyle, Denis Buckley, Matthew Burke, Rory Burke, Jarrad Butler, Robin Copeland, Colby Fainga’a, Cillian Gallagher, Dave Heffernan, Tom McCartney, Ultan Dillane, Joe Maksymiw, Eoghan Masterson, Sean Masterson, Dominic Robertson-McCoy, Gavin Thornbury. Backs: Niyi Adeolokun, Caolin Blade, Tom Daly, Conor Fitzgerald, Kyle Godwin, Matt Healy, David Horwitz, Darragh Leader, Angus Lloyd, Seán O’Brien, Tiernan O’Halloran, John Porch, Peter Robb.
