Connacht flanker Eoin McKeon has signed a contract extension with his home province.

The 27-year old Galway native has played 127 times for the westerners since making his debut in 2010.

McKeon had his injury problems last season but was delighted to pen a new deal.

"I am proud of the journey I have taken through the grassroots game in Connacht and on to play for the senior team," he said.

"We have developed a really positive culture in Connacht and as a club there is a huge determination to build on the season we have just had."
