Marist College and Sligo Grammar were presented with their respective league trophies at the recent draw for the Top Oil Schools Cup.

Marist won all of their eight Junior Premier League matches to finish five points ahead of close rivals Garbally College.

Marist scored an impressive 294 points across the campaign and conceded just 44.

With little to separate Marist and Garbally, their head to head fixture was always going to be crucial, and Marist eventually ran out 23-19 winners in Ballinsloe.

Garbally College were again pipped to the post in the Senior League as Sligo Grammar took the honours by a single point.

Grammar won seven of their eight leagues games, the same record as Garbally, but lifted the title having picked up one more bonus point than their nearest challengers.
