Buccaneers will be desperate to move away from the Division 1B relegation zone when they clash with St Mary's College at Templeville Road tomorrow.

The Athlone outfit have still only been victorious on one occasion in the league this term, but they need to back up that comprehensive 41-14 hammering of Old Wesley at Dubarry Park on October 20.

Buccaneers have come close in a number of games and last time out they were edged out 24-23 at home to Malone on November 3. Those narrow defeats mean Buccaneers are ninth after five games.

Elsewhere, Galwegians are bottom of Division 2A and they are seven points behind Dolphin who are ninth.

Sligo also prop up the standings in their league, Division 2B, but Corinthians are fourth and just two points behind Wanderers.

Ballina are second in Division 2C, just one point off leaders Midleton. The men from Mayo have five wins from their six games.
