Third time lucky for Munster as they finally consummated their love affair with the Heineken Cup on a day of wild emotions in Cardiff, when legends Mick Galwey and Peter Clohessy crowded the post-match celebrations.
Centre Trevor Halstead and a stunning solo effort from Peter Stringer (above) , who embarrassed early try-scorer Sireli Bobo on the blindside, gave Munster a 17-10 buffer at the break that they just about managed to cling on to.
