Stage set for euro semi-finals

Leinster will play their Heineken Cup semi-final against champions Toulouse at 3.30 on Saturday, April 30 at Lansdowne Road, writes hugh farrelly.

It was reported over the weekend that Croke Park was the likely venue if two Irish provinces qualified for the last four, but Ulster crashed out of the tournament in Milton Keynes yesterday, when Northampton overpowered Brian McLaughlin's men to run out 23-13 winners.

Northampton will host Perpignan, while Toulouse earned the right to meet Leinster after a thrilling extra-time 27-20 win over last year's beaten finalists Biarritz in San Sebastien yesterday.

Tickets for Leinster's semi-final will go on public sale next Friday.

On the same day as Leinster's Toulouse clash, Munster will play Harlequins in their Challenge Cup semi-final at Thomond Park with a 1.0 kick-off, while Stade Francais host Clermont the night before.
