Leinster's Heineken Cup coaches

Hugh Farrelly

Jim Glennon

HC record: Played 7, Won 4, Lost 3

Best finish: Semi-final 1995/96

One to remember: Alan McGowan's 18 points in the 1995 23-22 win over a Pontypridd side far further along the professional road.

One to forget: A particularly harsh lesson learned in the 27-10 home loss to Leicester in their pomp.

Mike Ruddock

HC record: Played 18, Won 8, Lost 10

Best finish: Pool stages

One to remember: Beating Leicester 16-9 at a packed Donnybrook in 1998.

One to forget: Scoring four tries and losing 33-32 in Milan in 1997 scuppered their qualification hopes.

Matt Williams

HC record: Played 21, Won 15, Lost 5, Drawn 1

Best finish: Semi-final 2002/03

One to remember: Denis Hickie's late try which set up a first win in France over a powerful Montferrand. One to forget: The semi-final defeat to Perpignan which haunted the province for the next six years.

Gary Ella

HC record: Played 6, Won 4, Lost 2

Best finish: Pool stages

One to remember: Biarritz were blown away 32-6 in Ella's first Heineken Cup match, with man of the match Shane Horgan crossing for two tries.

One to forget: A first home pool defeat in five seasons against Sale thanks to Charlie Hodgson's late efforts.

Declan Kidney

HC record: Played 7, Won 6, Lost 1

Best finish: Quarter-final

One to remember: A superb 26-23 win in Bourgoin, including a George Best-esque try from Brian O'Driscoll that is still among the competition's finest.

One to forget: Never at the races in the quarter-final against Leicester who won 29-13, adding to the 'choker' stereotype.

Michael Cheika

HC record: Played 38, Won 24, Lost 13, Drawn 1

Best finish: Winners 2009

One to remember: The semi-final win over Munster at Croke Park in 2009 was sensational.

One to forget: Another semi-final against Munster, this time in Cheika's first season in charge, when his side were obliterated from first whistle to last.

Joe Schmidt

HC record: Played 8, Won 7, Lost 1

Best finish: Playing Northampton in final tomorrow

One to remember: Semi-final win over champions Toulouse on one of the tournament's greatest occasions.

One to forget: None -- the sole loss away to Clermont with a patched-up team saw a fantastic performance by the visitors to get a bonus point.
