Leinster have not conceded the hope that Sean O'Brien may still be available for this weekend's Champions Cup semi-final against Scarlets at the Aviva Stadium.

O'Brien's latest comeback from a series of injuries lasted just 40 minutes against Treviso last Saturday but his club say he is being assessed with a view to being available for selection.

Luke McGrath is on course to resume his position at scrum-half after injuring his ankle in the quarter-final win against Saracens while Robbie Henshaw will train fully and if fit, has a chance to start.

He must pass all his training 'markers' before Leinster decide to pitch him in from the start.

Rhys Ruddock's hamstring injury will be further assessed this week although Leo Cullen appeared to rule the back-row out of contention at the weekend.

Jordan Larmour reported no issues on his first game back from a calf injury and will train fully this week.

Jack Conan injured his knee against Ospreys but will look to resume training this week ahead of selection.

Rory O'Loughlin was withdrawn for a HIA against Treviso and will thus enter Return to Play Protocols this week.

Jack Conan hopes to resume training this week after a knee injury while Cathal Marsh has returned to training from a toe injury.

Hooker Richardt Strauss picked up a calf injury against Treviso and has been ruled out of the game against Scarlets.

Both Dave Kearney (shoulder) and Josh van der Flier (knee) remain unavailable for selection.
