Seán Cronin is set to be named in Leo Cullen's starting side when it is revealed in Newcastle this lunchtime - but Bryan Byrne has travelled as cover in case the Irish international's calf injury unexpectedly flares up again.

Cronin has not played since the semi-final victory against Toulouse in Dublin, but withdrew in the first half of that game and has not featured for the side since.

Jamison Gibson-Park's injury will, as expected, allow semi-final try-scoring hero James Lowe to start on the wing in what should be an unchanged 15 as Cullen's men seek a record fifth European crown against English kingpins Saracens.

Ulster-bound Jack McGrath is likely to feature on the bench ahead of Ed Byrne.
