Callaghan sets Garbally on way

Garbally Col 20 Col Iognáid 12 GARBALLY COLLEGE captured their 41st Connacht Junior Cup title when tries at the start and end of the opening half secured victory.

Number 8 Tom Callaghan set them on their way with a try in the first minute and Eanna Tiernan added a conversion and two penalties.

Colaiste Iognáid responded with a 12th minute try from full-back Tommy Bradshaw, but Garbally struck again before the interval when Tiernan O'Halloran chased his own garryowen to touch score.

Colaiste Iognáid winger Conor Murphy managed a consolation try for his team.
