Borlase drives over to secure Munster bonus

A comfortable victory for Munster at Billesley Common saw the visitors come away with a bonus-point victory thanks to Kiwi prop Peter Borlase touching down their fourth try with two minutes remaining to secure a quarter-final spot.

Munster absorbed some early home pressure and eventually found the front foot and a Scott Deasy penalty gave them the lead after 10 minutes.

Scoring opportunities remained at a premium but as the game wore on, that old Munster grit came to the fore as David Kilcoyne was dragged over for the opening try.

In the second half, some half-dozen phases towards the Moseley goal-line had try written all over them and so it was that Christy Condon drove over. Deasy's second conversion stretched the lead to 17 points.

Their third try came after 50 minutes as Deasy conjured up the game's highlight with an excellent cross-field punt that landed neatly in the arms of Patrick Butler for a score in the corner.

And in one last Munster push in the closing five minutes, replacement prop Borlase pounced from two metres to score for the bonus point.
