Two tries in four minutes early into the second half put a seal on St Mary's route into the Leinster Senior Cup quarter-final at Donnybrook yesterday.

The Rathmines school's passing game paid off as Tom Murray's cut-out pass sent Hugo Conway into the corner for Ruairi Shields' to convert in the 29th minute. It was still all to play for until Shields found a chink of light on the left on 39 minutes. Then, McEniff's bump and run-in secured the third try.

St Mary's moved menacingly forward for replacement Adam McEvoy to find the line. The Kildare school found consolation from Kevin Kyne's powerful burst and Luke Maloney's conversion.
