RECAP ON YESTERDAY
Hockey - Ireland were beaten 3-2 by Argentina and bow out of the Olympic Games.
Gary and Paul O’Donovan, Sinead Lynch and Claire Lambe, Sanita Puspure (Rowing) - The O’Donovans claimed silver in their lightweight single sculls final. Meanwhile, Lambe and Lynch were sixth in the women’s final. Elsewhere, Puspure won her single sculls repechage.
Mark English, Ciara Mageean and Alex Wright (Athletics) - English made the 800m semi-final after finishing third in his heat in a time of 1:46.40. Wright was 46th in the men’s 20km race walk. Mageean finished second in heat one of the 1,500m and advance to tomorrow's semi-finals.
Judy Reynolds (Equestrian) - Qualified for Monday’s final with a score of 74.090.
Seamus Power and Padraig Harrington (Golf) - Power leads the Irish challenge after a round of 67 left him on four-under, five off the lead. Harrington is one-under after a level-par second round.
Scott Evans (Badminton) - Dismissed Marc Zwiebler 9-21, 21-17, 21-7 in his opening group match.
Chloe Magee (Badminton) - Exited the Olympics after a 21-14, 21-19 loss to Germany's Karin Schnaase.
Annalise Murphy (Sailing) - Dropped to third in overall position.
