Revealed! When Irish athletes are in action at the Rio Olympics this weekend
The largest sporting event of 2016 will officially begin in the early hours of this morning when the Olympic torch reaches the Maracana stadium.
Certain events have already begun due to scheduling but the first of the 77 athletes representing Ireland will enter their respective arenas tomorrow.
The first to don the green of Ireland will be cyclists Dan Martin and Nicolas Roche in the men's road race.
Here is the schedule for Irish athletes competing this weekend:
SATURDAY, AUGUST 6
Men's road racing (Dan Martin and Nicolas Roche), 1.30pm
Individual Competition Kieran Behan, 2.30
