
Pat Hickey's lawyer revealed that his wife has returned to Ireland.
Simone Kamenetz said Mr Hickey told her to go home.
"She didn't want to go but he told her she must go home.
"She would have to wait 30 days before she can meet him in prison so he told her to go."
Ms Kamenetz also revealed that he feels "kafkian" behind bars.
"If you are caught in jail after doing something you can understand this.
"Mr Hickey has done nothing wrong so he cannot understand why he is here. It doesn't make sense.
"We talk a lot about this 'I don't understand why I am here'. He says this is Kafkian."
Ms Kamenetz confirmed that Mr Hickey had a second passport and she said this has since been handed over to police.
She also revealed the former OCI president is being treated well in prison but has stopped eating.
"He is being treated nice. He is not being bullied.
"He's not eating. He doesn't have an appetite."

She insisted that Mr Hickey was not evasive in his interviews with police. She added that Mr Hickey did not try to escape when police went to arrest him.
