Return to Ireland on hold as Ronan O'Gara extends Racing Metro contract
Ronan O'Gara has opted to continue his coaching development in France.
The highly rated Racing Metro defence coach has impressed since taking the role back in 2013, and like the side he coaches, he has grown over the subsequent years.
Racing are currently enjoying their best campaign since returning to the Top 14, booking their place in the Champions Cup quarter-finals while they also currently lead the French league.
After the departure of Les Kiss from the Irish coaching ticket, as well as the uncertainty surrounding Anthony Foley at Munster, Ronan O'Gara was rumoured to be a target for both set-ups but the legendary out-half has spoken fondly of his French experience and is set to stay on for another two-and-a-half years at least.
