Win a holiday in Spain -- plus €2,000 to spend

IT'S easy to forget, given the past week of grey skies and chilly temperatures, but summer is almost upon us and with it comes the annual trek to September glory.

Dublin defend their football title and they will face a renewed challenge from Kerry, keen to avenge last year's final defeat, and a rejuvenated Cork, with their sights firmly set on All-Ireland glory once more.

Throw in Kildare, Tyrone and Mayo and you have a potent mix of top-class footballers with plenty of reasons to believe that their time has come.

In hurling, the Kilkenny train just keeps on rolling along, but that won't stop their rivals from planning a derailment.

Tipperary failed to fire in last year's decider and they will be hungry to make amends at the earliest possible opportunity, while Cork have found a new spark under Jimmy Barry-Murphy and Clare, Limerick, Galway and Dublin have all hinted that they can hurl with the best of them on the big occasion.

It promises to be a scintillating summer, and thanks to FBD Insurance, Sunday Independent readers have the opportunity to turn their opinions into a fantastic prize.

The winner of the FBD Insurance Forecast Competition will be treated to a magnificent holiday in the sun for two at the Sunset Beach Club on Spain's Costa del Sol -- with €2,000 to spend.

A firm favourite with Irish holidaymakers, the FBD-owned Sunset Beach Club is a landmark in Benalmadena. As one of the finest beach-front resorts on the Costa del Sol, facilities include two large swimming pools, a children's pool and play area, two restaurants, several bars and a supermarket with bakery.

With over 500 apartments, each decorated and furnished to an exceptionally high four-star standard, the resort is perfect for couples, families and golfing groups. There is also a beautiful beach-front promenade with lots of bars and casual dining options and even a football pitch.

For the more adventurous, the dedicated leisure desk is a great way of organising golf tee-times, day trips and excursions.

Apart from the main prize, we also have four runners-up prizes of a weekend for two with €200 spending money in one of the four excellent hotels which form FBD Hotels Ireland. These include Temple Bar Hotel, located in the very heart of Dublin City; Tower Hotel in Waterford; the sumptuous Faithlegg House Hotel (also in Waterford) and the luxurious Castleknock Hotel and Country Club on the outskirts of Dublin, the latter two with their own 18-hole golf courses on site.

To be in with a chance of winning one of these incredible prizes, simply predict the line-ups for the closing stages of the All-Ireland football and hurling championships.
