Williams' charge has real ability

Sustainability can make it a four-timer for Venetia Williams with another victory at Carlisle.

The seven-year-old has been on quite a roll in his most recent starts, beginning his sequence when triumphing on his handicap bow at Hereford in November. He then followed up by an impressive seven lengths at Uttoxeter on New Year's Eve before enjoying a slight break in January and February.

Williams then pitched him back into action at this track just under two weeks ago and again he defied a hike in the ratings to emerge victorious.

Now on a mark of 107 after starting life on 91, Sustainability has answered every question posed so far and with ground again on the easy side, he can go in again in the Happy Mother's Day From Racing Welfare Handicap Hurdle.

Degas Art had been viewed as a possible Cheltenham Festival contender but the City Hopper Novices' Chase looks a more realistic target. The nine-year-old impressed when coming home six lengths clear at Kelso last time.

Mr Hudson made a promising start to his chase career and he can build on that with victory at Newton Abbot.
