Dustin Poirier has vowed to celebrate with some Guinness when he beats unbeaten Irish UFC brawler Conor McGregor but I'm sure the Dubliner will have something to say about that.

McGregor has dubbed Poirier "Pea-head" in his pre-fight press appearances and this Saturday's fight at UFC 178, delayed coverage of which will be shown on 3e next Monday at 9pm, is quickly escalating into a grudge match.

Episode 1 of UFC 178 Embedded blog series follows both fighters as they prepare to meet in the octagon and it's clear that the goading from the Notorious has been having the desired effect.

Poirier boasts in the video below: "(I’m) trying to find an Irish pub to do an after party with because I thought that would be cool. You know, whip Conor’s silly **s and then have some fish and chips and Guinness. Dedicate this fight to Ireland.

"This is going to be good for him (McGregor). He needs a (sic) ass whooping like he’s going to get. It’s going to make him a better person in the long run. You’re welcome, Conor. This will help you out."
