Ricciardo appeal gets hearing date
Formula One: Red Bull's appeal against Daniel Ricciardo's disqualification from the Australian Grand Prix will be heard at the FIA's headquarters in Paris on April 14.
Ricciardo, making his debut for Red Bull at his home grand prix, was disqualified from second place several hours after the chequered flag fell after his car was found to have infringed new fuel rules.
The hearing is six days before the fourth round of the 2014 season is staged in Shanghai.
Red Bull will have to prove the FIA fuel sensor, which Red Bull team principal Christian Horner called unreliable, was defective and that their own device was not in error.
Pending the outcome of the appeal, the result of Sunday's grand prix, with Kevin Magnussen and Jenson Button promoted to second and third behind race winner Nico Rosberg, remains provisional.
