Plenty of donkey work for Larry
IT IS impossible to hold a major sporting event now without some class of an animal prophesising what's going to happen.
But it takes a particularly British sense of humour to come up 'Larry The Psychic Donkey'. 'The Telegraph' have adopted Larry as their Olympic soothsayer as he lives at nearby Hackney City Farm.
He is visited daily with buckets of food labelled with the pictures of competitors and whichever nosebag he picks is deemed his prediction,.
Quote of the day
"It's the best thing that could have happened. I've never swam as fast in my life so thanks a lot, you really fired me up" -- Australian swimmer Leisel Jones fires a backhander at her local press who accused her of being fat and unfit before the Games.
