Olympics: Magee gets Olympic singles green light

Donegal's Chloe Magee yesterday received confirmation that she will compete in her second Olympic Games in London after finishing 26th on the list of 46 players that have qualified for the women's singles.

In the mixed doubles section, Chloe and brother Sam are the third reserves.

Countries have until Thursday, May 31 to confirm the places they were allocated to them earlier this month.

New Zealand have turned down their men's singles place, which should mean Ireland's Scott Evans will now get a call-up to the eagerly anticipated London Games.
