Annaliese Murphy and Eva Roche gave Coláiste an Phiarsaigh (Glanmire) the edge over Coláiste Chiaráin in their 56-52 victory in the final of the Girls' U-19 'A' All-Ireland Schools League.

The Dublin side managed to keep up with Glanmire until free throws from the duo made the difference in the last quarter, with Murphy registering 20 points during the game at the National Basketball Arena.

Meanwhile, PSN Baldoyle stormed home to victory in the League U-19 'C' boys basketball final yesterday afternoon with a convincing 59-48 point win over St Gerald's DLS College, Castlebar.

Stellar performances from MVP Jamie McDonagh and Austin Trimmer proved crucial, with the pair combining for 45 of their side's overall 59-point tally in an impressive display.

Later in the day, St Joseph's Community College made it an All-Ireland double with their 30-28 'C' girls triumph over Coláiste na Toirbhirte following their Cup win in January.

Elsewhere, Presentation Castleisland claimed the U-16 'A' girls final spoils with a 48-41 win over Scoil Chríost Rí Portlaoise.
