Daragh O'Riordan and Tony McDaid repeated their win of last year in the West Lodge Hotel Fastnet Rally at Bantry when their Fiesta WRC finished more than a minute clear of the similar car of Roy White and James O'Brien.

O'Riordan took the lead on the opening stage and was never challenged, while White, who is still learning his new car, started slowly and worked his way through the field as he gained confidence in it.

Donegal pair Declan Gallagher and Ryan Moore had a splendid run to third place overall in their Starlet, splitting a quartet of World Rally cars in their two-wheel drive machine to clinch their category in the Triton Showers National Championship.

Defending Hewison Autotest champion Steven Ferguson scored his second win of the season to take the lead in the series.
