Lewis Hamilton has given his clearest signal yet that he expects to renew his Mercedes contract beyond this year and spurn a move to Ferrari, saying: "I don't think that there's going to be a huge amount of movement."
Hamilton has twice met Ferrari chairman John Elkann for informal talks, but he indicated yesterday that he would most likely to sign a further, possibly final contract extension with Mercedes, where he earns £40m a year.
"In the top teams, there isn't going to be a lot of movement," Hamilton said.
"It's a real privilege to be wanted and to stay and be part of a great team. I hope I can continue to contribute."
