Kavanagh adds the gloss

Charleville, Cork 1-17 Fullen Gaels, W'shire 0-6

Charleville qualified for the final when they brushed aside Fullen Gaels with consummate ease in Walsh Park, Waterford, yesterday.

Fullen Gaels actually led 0-2 to 0-1 after eight minutes and were only a point behind in the 19th minute following Kevin Codd's third free.

However, Charleville subsequently took complete control.

Points from James O'Brien (2), Andrew Cagney, James Casey and Brendan Dennehy gave them a 0-10 to 0-4 interval lead.

And full-forward Mark Kavanagh put the gloss on it when he poked the ball over the line on 43 minutes.
