Ireland’s Jason Smyth claims world double in Lyon

IRELAND’S Jason Smyth added another gold to his medal collection this evening at the IPC World Championships in Lyon.

The Paralympics gold medal winner  claimed the medal in the T13 100m, four days after victory in the 200m final.

 

Smyth set a new championship record with his winning time of 10.61 seconds.

 

South Africa’s Jonathan Atutu was second in 11.12, while Bulgaria’s Rodoslav Zlatanov claimed bronze with a time of 11.15.
