Athenry trainer Gerry Holian, who has trained three previous winners, has a strong hand with two of the eight qualifiers for the BoyleSports Derby quarter-finals at Powerstown Park today.

His litter brothers Blades Of Glory and Reikers Island have made an impressive path through the first three rounds and they could well meet in this afternoon's final.

Reikers Island is at the very top of the draw and he is in the red-hot top quarter, where he will meet the Brendan Matthews trained Needham Eoin this morning. The winner will meet either Owen McKenna's Ballygerald Buzz or Noreen O'Donovan's Wheres Mr Wilks in the semi-final.

Owen McKenna has a strong hand in the Horse & Jockey Hotel Oaks, where Dicks Bimbo has been flying at the bottom and she is a clear 6/4 favourite. She will be a hot favourite to lead Knockout Glory this morning and Yodgik or Our Miztique would be her semi-final opponent.

Michael O'Donovan's Jamaica Judy will be fancied to reach the final following a quarter-final clash with Try Coloiur and then either Gadget Queen or Touch Of Class in the semi.

Most of the leading fancies have made it to the final day and a thrilling session is anticipated.
