Hickey re-elected president of Euro Olympic Committees
PAT Hickey was unanimously re-elected as president of the European Olympic Committees until 2017.
The election took place yesterday in Rome at the EOC General Assembly.
Hickey has been EOC president since 2006 and in 2009 was also re-elected unopposed. He is president of the Olympic Council of Ireland and a member of the International Olympic Committee executive board. He was the only candidate for president.
Britain's Sebastian Coe, Chairman of the London 2012 Olympic Games organising committee, was elected to the EOC executive committee. Coe was one of 17 candidates vying for 12 spots.
