Greyhounds: Final of the Mannion Builders Supplies Open 750

This is a fascinating weekend, with many of our top established stars in action, as well as some potential future champions.

The stayers will be battling it out at Shelbourne, where the final of the Mannion Builders Supplies Open 750 is the feature.

Cooladerry Fizz and Seven Hills Lady have made it to this stage unbeaten and they are sure to dominate the market.

Cooladerry's style is very much 'catch me if you can' but she has a difficult draw in that she has to get around her two really serious rivals Seven Hills Lady and Crash Bandit into the bend. But the task is not beyond her.

Ballymac Tipp looks banker material in the Dobbins Restaurant Open 525. He is in the form of his life and should have too much early firepower.

Two others that appeal are Deerfield Music and Tyrur O Gorman, two young dogs that look attractively treated, with big futures.

There will be three fantastic races at Waterford in the first round of the Red Mills Masters. There is tremendous early pace in the first heat, with Colorful Champ, Beaming Dilemma, Sevenheads Bay and Mesedo Blue sure to be prominent.

Fatboyz Tyson is the one to beat in the second, while Leeview Jet moves up in grade in the third but a favourable draw can stand him in good stead against such cracking opponents as Tullymurry Act, Thurlesbeg Joker and De Ex Factor.

A small treble is suggested on Colorful Champ, Fatboyz Tyson and Tullymurry Act.

The stars of the future will be on show at Clonmel tomorrow, where the semi-finals of the Munster Puppy Cup are down for decision. Farloe Force looks nailed on for the second heat after his two sizzling runs of 28.45 and 28.33. In the opening heat, Archaton Linda has been in fine form and she can beat Cool Dude and Rockchase Zico.
