Four paralympic powerlifters banned for doping

Four paralympic powerlifters have been suspended after being found to have violated rules on anti-doping, the International Paralympic Committee has announced.

Nigeria's Ivory Nwokorie, Iraq's Huda Ali and Moldovan duo Stefan Rosca and Verginiu Arapu have each been banned for two years and fined €1,500.


Nwokorie tested positive for Furosemide, Ali for nandrolone metabolites, while Rosca and Arapu were returned adverse findings of anabolic steroids.
