Ireland's Conor Ferguson finished off his campaign at the World Junior Championships in Singapore with his fourth Irish record of the week.

The 15-year-old took almost a second off his own 200m breaststroke record when finishing fifth in his heat yesterday, clocking 2.02:30. That time left Ferguson 13th overall, with the top eight going through to last night's final which was won by Spain's Hugo Gonzalez in 1:58.11.

Ferguson now travels directly to Samoa with team-mates Rachel Bethel and Emma Reid for the Commonwealth Youth Games where he will be looking to lower his three backstroke records. Ferguson, Bethel and Antoinette Neamt will all be eligible for the next World Junior Championships in 2017.
