Fast conditions should suit Munsarim

Anita Chambers

Munsarim was all at sea at rainy Carlisle last time, but he can redeem himself back on quicker ground at Ayr.

Lining up in the Carlisle Bell consolation race, Munsarim failed to muster any kind of effort for trainer Keith Dalgleish, getting outpaced before falling back through the field to finish 10th. It was a very wet afternoon in Cumbria that day and the ground was riding a touch slower than the official good which would not have helped a horse that has been better on faster conditions.

Munsarim had previously demonstrated plenty of guts when landing a second career success with a nose victory over 10 furlongs at Newcastle.

The handicapper raised him 2lb for that win and he must have a chance back on quicker ground at Ayr.

Shunkawakhan has finished in the first three four times already this year and his time must surely be here. Linda Perratt's runner has been thoroughly consistent, winning over seven furlongs at this track back in May before turning in three decent efforts at Musselburgh. He just got reeled in when third last time but he looks more than capable of landing the Bet On Wimbledon Final At Handicap.

Forrest Flyer was in need of the run on his seasonal bow, so better is expected in the Bet On Live Cricket At Handicap.
