Cian O'Connor collected the Leading Rider and Leading Horse awards in the Arab World Cup Qualifier League with another string of good results at the final leg of the series at Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates over the weekend.
And Irish riders continued to blaze a trail on the European circuit, with wins for both Denis Lynch and Jessica Kuerten in Bordeaux, where Billy Twomey finished fourth in Saturday's super-competitive World Cup class.
O'Connor notched up five runner-up placings at Al Ain. And when the Irish-bred Larkhill Cruiser was second in both the World Cup Qualifier and the preliminary competition, that secured the Leading Horse trophy.
The Irishman's next port of call will be the Spanish Sunshine circuit next month.
Meanwhile over in Bordeaux, Denis Lynch picked up a deserved win with All Inclusive on Friday and he was third with Upsilon d'Ocquier in Saturday's Speed event before Kuerten topped the qualifier for the ladies title riding Fashion.
