As a Dublin man, I'm obviously biased when it comes to betting on the boys in blue, but this afternoon's All-Ireland quarter-final could be tighter than some analysts seem to think. If Tyrone go on to win, I don't think it will be by a wide margin, so I'm happy to go with the handicap bet giving Dublin a 5pts head-start. It's a short enough price around 2/5, but the no-hype attitude has suited the Dubs this year and some of the younger lads may be able to give an ageing Tyrone side a run for their money.

Vesuve had been racing in group company in Dubai before making a very satisfactory UK debut for Saeed Bin Suroor when second at Doncaster last time. He went as low as 7/11 in-running on that occasion before being chinned, but, on ratings, he has around a stone in hand today so his short price of 1/2 is justified (4.35 Newmarket).
