Chasing Ruby

Walsh's tail

"I'm beginning to understand how Richard Johnson feels at this stage! I'd give my right hand to win a title, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

I won't stop trying, but there's no point in me kidding myself that I'm going to win one either. I'll try and keep tabs on Ruby and, if I'm close enough come Punchestown, that will be time enough to start worrying about it."

Cork hurling

prospects for 2010

"I definitely think they can beat Tipp. All that stuff that was going on in the background is sorted, so they've only one objective now. And they're hungry -- hunger is the best sauce. We probably won't really see what kind of shape things are going to take until the 'Newtown' lads are finished with the club championship, but, if the likes of Cathal Naughton and Aisake O h'Ailpin get their game together, and the team clicks as a unit, they won't be far away."

Solwhit's Champion

Hurdle prospects

"The one unknown with Solwhit would be good ground over two miles. It was two and a half when he won on good ground at Aintree last year, so it is a bit of a worry. And don't forget, you've got horses like Go Native, which won at Cheltenham last year and is the only horse to beat Solwhit in his last few runs, in there as well, so the competition is fierce. I'm happy with my fella going there, though, and he's definitely as good a ride as I've had in one of the championship races."
