David Haye returns to the ring after ‘finding new audience’ on reality show
DAVID Haye will return to the ring on June 29 to begin his quest for another heavyweight title - and the 32-year-old believes he will be cheered on by fans all over the world after his ventures away from boxing in recent months.
Haye has not fought since he stopped British rival Dereck Chisora in the fifth round of their eagerly-anticipated bout last July.
But he announced on Monday his intention to earn mandatory challenger status against either of the all-conquering Klitschko brothers by next year.
That journey will begin against an opponent yet to be announced in Manchester Arena on June 29 and Haye, who has appeared in ITV reality show 'I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here' and launched mobile phone apps and fitness DVDs since beating Chisora, is ready to give the people what they want.
"I want to get out there and put on a good show - 100 to 200 times a day people are walking up to me in the street," he said.
"The fans all over the world, wherever I travel to, people want to see me back in the ring and ask me when they can see me. Well, on June 29 they will be able to see me do it.
"Strangely a lot of them are people who have never actually seen me fight live and I have reached out to a different demographic now after doing the TV show last year.
"It is a nice opportunity for me to do what I do best and knock someone out for the millions of my fans around the world."
